How to Prepare Your Heart

Hey Y’all!

I am so excited to share my favorite verses to help prepare your heart for any season of life. This past spring, I took on a leadership position within Delight Ministries.

When the Lord called me for this position it hit me out of no where. I didn’t feel qualified for the position that he was calling me to do. I spent an entire week anticipating actually submitting my application. Surely enough, I was selected to delight women on campus within their faith and help lead them through transforming stories.

Throughout the summer, I have been preparing my heart for our ministries annual conference hosted in Nashville, TN.

Doing Good to All + Fulfilling the Kingdom

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”

Galatians 6:9 NIV

Galatians Chapter 6 speaks about doing good and the ultimate reward of sharing the good that Christ wants us to share. The price of doing good and sharing the kingdom is eternal life. How beautiful is that? It’s important for entering a new season that you practice the law of Christ and take every opportunity given to share the word.

Living for God + His Purpose

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”

1 Peter 4:10 NIV

Peter describes the truth that one has nothing without the Lord, and that we should take those gifts as an opportunity to share with others. Preparing our hearts for fulfilling and effective prayer with the Lord is crucial for our relationship, for we should not dwell on our time in a passing world.

Take your gift that the Lord has given you and delight others and use that gift for His Purpose.

Confessing the Truth + Trusting the Word

“For, Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

Romans 10:13 NIV

In this chapter, you see that Paul’s heart is aching for the town of Israel, because they have lost faith in the Word of God. Many have taken their own beliefs and put their man-made law into affect instead of trusting the calling from God.

Once you have called the name of the Lord, and believed that God raised Jesus from the dead, you will be saved for eternal life. What a wonderful promise? This is such beautiful reminder of the sacrifice that God made for you.

When entering into any season of life, I hope these verses speak to you like they have done for me. I pray that the scriptures light a fire in your heart and you take on this new season with boldness, and fierce by capturing the Word of God and spreading the joy and love to your brothers and sisters.
