Weekly Jesus Time: Good Good Father

Hi Friends, Welcome! This post is a snippet of this past weekends sermon at Connection Pointe in Brownsburg, IN. You can view the full sermon here.

Did you know that you have a heavenly father that is looking out for you today and everyday?

Matthew 5:16 tells us to let our light shine before others, that they may see good deeds and glorify our Father in Heaven.

Matthew 5:16 NIV

In the bible, you will find that Jesus talks about the Father many times. He reminds us, that God is on a GREAT adventure (Good vs. Evil), and that because he is working on the world, he is INVITING us to JOIN him.

Let that light shine as an opportunity to join our Father on this adventure.

  • Did you know that God wants to hear from you about EVERYTHING?
  • Did you know that you can connect with God at ANY TIME?

Romans 8:15 reminds us that prayer is about our relationship with our Father. It’s the relationship between the children of God and Abba. This relationship demonstrates tenderness that is free of anxiety.

Romans 8:15 NIV

Our Father knows what we need before we tell him or ask. He is longing to provide for us. It’s important that we do not look to him as only a Provider, but as our Father.

Matthew 6:6-8 tells us that when we pray in secret to our Father, he will reward us. That we do not have to ramble, because he already knows what we need – to just simply PRAY.

Matthew 6:6-8 NIV

Be Vulnerable. Galatians 1:4 shows us the Heart of the Father – that we have been saved. He rescued us from evil to become glory forever.

Psalm 68:5-6 glorifies that our Father has made a home for the lonely. He has delighted in us, and could not be more proud to be OUR Father.

Psalm 68:5-6 NIV

Not by Accident. The bible continuously addresses that our Father did not commit an accident when he set forth for us to join him on this adventure between good and evil. We know that every good and perfect gift is from above. We were given birth through the word of truth and have been saved through him.

You’re a Good Good Father, it’s who you are, it’s who are, it’s who you are.

I am loved by you, it’s who I am, it’s who I am, it’s who I am.

Good Good Father // Chris Tomlin

Thank you for reading this weeks Jesus Time. With Father’s Day being this past weekend, it inspired me to write a post about our Heavenly Father & identify the truth from the word that HE is GOOD and HE is here for us, whenever and wherever. He desires a relationship from us, and wants to provide, for we are HIS children.

Y’all stay peachy!
