I have gathered a few ideas depending on what type of date you’re looking for – a cozy night in, or a night out.
Booking a Stay-Cation
Spa Day – this is a perfect way to spend the day with your gals or your significant other! This night could include a mani/pedi, candle-lit bubble bath, facials, and massages.
Dinner – whatever this may look like you to, a dinner at home is special in many ways. Whether you decide to showcase your cooking skills or order takeout/delivery having dinner at home is a very romantic and personable take on Valentines Day. If you’re spending the day with your friends – spice up dinner and make it a pitch in, and have everyone bring their favorites! Oh, and don’t forget the sweets 😉
Movie Night – this is a nice, inexpensive reason to stay home in the comfort of your bed or under a cozy blanket. If you’re looking for a newer film that may not be on Hulu or Netflix – Redbox always has TONS of great movies for under a couple bucks. Or, if you’re like me – you have a collection of Dvd’s waiting to be watched. Grab some popcorn, and candy and enjoy a cozy night in.
Night on the Town
Spa Day – if you’re not interested in staying home for the day, but a spa day sounded nice and you have been wanting to spoil yourself – try checking out local spa resorts available in your area, or if you’re with your girls and are in need of a nail makeover take a trip to your favorite nail salon and get the full package – ladies, you know what I mean 😉
Theater Date – who doesn’t love a Rebel Wilson movie? Plan a date to go see her new movie in Theater on V-day to enjoy a comedy filled romance film.
Dinner – this is a classic tradition for many spending the day with their gals or their s/o, but I challenge y’all to seek out a new restaurant that you’ve never been to to make the night more memorable.
For my Indy folks reading this, some of my favorite restaurants are:
- Mellow Mushroom in Carmel, IN
- The Old Spaghetti Factory in downtown Indy
- The Wild Eagle and for dessert, the Macaroon Bar on Mass Ave
